It is so cool to have photographed this precious friend at her engagement, then pregnant with her second little one, and now with her two sweet and fun little ones… A, you’re more beautiful as you grow in motherhood and in Grace.  Thank you for the privelege!

This awesome couple tried for a while to get pregnant, and then found out they’re having TWINS!  Isn’t God awesome?!  What a fun time I had with a willing and absolutely gorgeous momma-to-be.  Can’t wait for our next shoot!JoyA \

The Business is growing…

I am loving meeting more and more families, and getting to know the ones I already have, through photography!  It is a privelege to step into someone’s life for a few moments and help them capture memories to last for much longer!

I am also committed to continue to only walk forward in the “business” aspect as long as I sense the Lord’s blessing, so it is neat to take little steps like HIRING A GRAPHIC ARTIST to work on my logo this week!!!!!  Can you tell I’m excited?  I am also praying about the step of opening a full-on flash website, but in the meantime, I have been asked quite a bit to post a price list, so here goes.  The following is valid through August, 2008.

Standard Sitting Fee:  $120.  This includes 1-3 hours of photographer’s time and talent on location for up to six people, plus standard digital editing.  You will also receive a CD of watermarked images for proofing.  Additional person: $15

Available portraits:

Standard Enlargements, custom framing, gallery wrapped canvas, custom memory books.  Contact me for pricing.  All prints are developed through a professional-only high quality digital printing specialist.

About your session:

You aren’t looking for a “rush-in-rush-out” photo session with stuffy backdrops and harsh lighting.  You want to capture moments and personalities – you want to preserve memories… and that’s just what we’ll do in our time together.  I prefer to shoot on-location in God’s awesome creation… whether it’s a park, a beach, or your own backyard, your family should be at your most comfortable.  We’ll take our time… I’ll have a few ideas of cool shots, and I’d love to hear yours.  Most of the time, though, I’ll be a sort of fly on the wall, observing through my lens and catching the moments that are really “you.”  With little ones along, I’ll have my “goody bag” of a couple activities, but feel free to bring a ball, a favorite stuffed animal, or a treasured board book.  A change of clothes is definitely okay, but please remember to get the best shots of little ones, it’s best to let them just be who they are with no pressure.

I can’t wait to meet you – it starts with your phone consultation where we’ll decide just the type of shots you’re looking for, and go from there!

Sweet Family

Posted in family portraits with tags , , , , , , , , , on April 13, 2008 by lovinglegacy

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph this precious family.  They are an example to my husband and me (although they may not know it!) of firm, gentle, and God-honoring parenting… and their kids show honor to their commitment.  This session was so much fun for me because the kids, who are so sweet but normally shy, were SO relaxed and really let me in on their giggles.  Thanks, guys, for sharing your memories- I hope you will remember these days through the photos we captured!
